Don’t Look Back: Soar into 2013!

What a great year it has been in 2012. With God’s blessings, I’ve had the privilege to share my blog every week and give you a glimpse of how I live each day with a spinal cord injury. Not only how I live with my disability, but how I look past the challenges that are associated with such a condition.

In this new year of 2013, I’m hoping to continue to defy the odds of my disability and strive to do more for myself. I’ve had the help of many people to help me grow personally and professionally.

While focusing on my goals of completing graduate school and working in the public relations office for the Space and Naval Warfare Command, I’ve been able to accomplish more than I imagined. I’m looking forward to continuing those successes and working harder for many more triumphs. Through my experiences, I hope to continue to be an advocate for the disability community.

I’m challenging everyone, including myself, to not become overwhelmed by fears and frustrations, but to live every day with purpose. I’m not looking back; I’m soaring into 2013 with a sense of ambition! Hope you’ll join me for the ride!

Have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
