Richie Parker drives past the adversities in life

Native of Beaufort, South Carolina, Richie Parker was born without any limbs on his upper body. Even with the challenges in life, Richie has learned to live indepently.

Richie is able to drive himself to work where he is a chassis and body parts designer for Hendrick Motorsports. Check out ESPN’s video documenting a day in the life of Richie Parker.

Born in Charleston, SC, I was injured in a motor vehicle accident when I was nine months old. I acquired a C5-C6 spinal cord injury.
