Lizzie Velazquez Gives Inspirational Speech at TEDx Event

Lizzie  Velazquez was recently named the “World’s Ugliest Woman” as a result of her appearance. Despite the bullying and hateful comments, she turns that anger into love by inspiring others.

Lizzie has a rare condition where she cannot gain weight. However, she finds humor in her differences. In her TEDx presentation, she says that her disability doesn’t define her. She challenges the audience to find what defines them and use that as a source for motivation.

I admire Lizzie’s tenacity as she continues to live each day to the best of her abilities. She is showing the world what’s possible regardless of the circumstances.

Hey man saw this video, and did some looking, I can not believe that Lizzy was named the world ugliest woman. Really there’s an award for this, but she keeps looking up and helping others.
